Chicken Dennis, aka Dennis MacDavid, is a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist/composer who is a licensed veterinarian doctor and a key figure in the Bugalulu Carnival circa 1980, whose recorded works have received great acclaim. This work was released in the 90s. It contains five tracks with warm beats dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ, including balearic feel “Glory Be To Jesus” with soft melody, trippy Afro funk "Are You Ready?", and relaxed sweet soul "Surrender". There are very few jackets that remain intact, and we have just received this one in good condition with the original jacket still intact. Disc has some popping parts but think it's in pretty good condition for African record.
獣医師の資格を持つドクターであり、80年頃にはBugaluluカーニバルの中心人物としてそのレコード作品も大きな評価を得ているナイジェリアのマルチ奏者/コンポーザーDennis MacDavidことChicken Dennis。本作は90年代に入りリリースされた作品。柔らかなメロディワークのバレアリック雰囲気漂う”Glory Be To Jesus”、トリッピーなアフロ・ファンク”Are You Ready?”、ゆったりとしたスウィートソウル”Surrender”はじめ聖母マリアとイエス・キリストに捧げられた温かみのあるビートを軸にした全5曲を収録。ジャケットそのまま残っているものもかなり少ないようでその中でも状態いいものを譲ってくれました。盤面もブツっと鳴る部分ありますがアフリカの中ではまずまずの状態と思います。抵抗ある方はお気をつけください。
