Arturo Sandoval's first solo work in 1980, a member of Cuba's leading bands such as Irakere and Cubana De Música Moderna, and a trumpet player representing the country. The whole album is wet and glossy Latin/Cuban jazz with a glimpse of Coltrane's influence, the contents are wonderful, including A1/B3 long latin jazz tune with excellent cosmic/space feeling, A2 with adulty and elegance, and beautiful B4 that closes the last. It seems that it was released in Venezuela and Mexico, and this is the Mexican version.
IrakereやCubana De Música Modernaなどキューバを代表するバンドのメンバーでもあり同国を代表するトランペット奏者でもあるArturo Sandovalの80年のソロ初作。全編コルトレーン辺りの影響も垣間見れるウエットで艶のあるラテン/キューバンジャズを収録していて、コズミック感覚にも優れたA1/B3の長編曲、色気と気品に富んだA2、ラストを締める美しいB4を筆頭に素晴らしい内容です。ヴェネズエラとメキシコでリリースされた模様でこちらはメキシコ盤です。
