Summerhaze is very different group formed by Celtic harpist Cathie O'Sullivan and other members, including saxophonist Jim Denley who have performed in Australian improvised music and viola player Cleis Pearce. A total of 10 tunes ranging from folk to ensemble that is like melting the nourishment of the continent. Among them, spiritual "Loving One" and the beautifully sung "Cruel Sister" are full of moving. A wonderful piece that combines tradition and modernity. The cover is also beautiful.
オーストラリアのケルトハープ奏者Cathie O'Sullivanを中心に、豪即興音楽で活動したサックス奏者Jim Denley、ヴィオラ奏者Cleis Pearceといったメンバーと結成した異色のグループSummerhaze。大陸の滋養を溶かし込んだようなフォーク～アンサンブルまで全10曲を収録。中でも霊気に満ちた”Loving One”、美しい歌声を聞かせる幻想的な”Cruel Sister”は感動的な響きに溢れています。伝統とモダンを併せ持った素晴らしい作品。美しいジャケットも乙。
