North Indian classical music is said to have developed through a fusion of Hindu and Islamic cultures due to its location. This 1979 record features a performance by Pandit Mallikarjun Mansur, a vocalist who is a member of the Alladiya Khan school, which is a direct descendant of the Senia Garana group and has trained many talented students, including sitar player Ravi Shankar. It may be described as a deep listening piece that sounds meditative and magico with sitar, tabla, reed organ playing in the background to his singing voice, which requires expert breath control. Each side is about 20 minutes long. It may open new doors for you.
その土地柄ヒンドゥー文化とイスラム文化が融合しながら発展したと伝わる北インド古典音楽。その流派のひとつセニガラナ直系にてシタール奏者Ravi Shankarに代表される多数の有能な弟子を育てた経歴を持つAlladiya Khan一派の一人である声楽家Pandit Mallikarjun Mansurによるパフォーマンスを記録した79年のレコード。熟練の呼吸コントロールが必要とされるその歌声にシタール、タブラ、リードオルガンがバックで鳴るメディテイティヴかつ呪術的にも聞こえてくるディープ・リスニング的作品。片面約20分ずつの構成。新たな扉を開いてくれるかもしれません。
