Eddie Munji III, a Filipino musician who is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, piano, bass, flute, oboe, saxophone, string instruments, and even percussion, and is one of the best arrangers in the area. Although not well-known, he seem to be well-known locally, having produced and performed on hundreds of records by top artists over the decades. This is the only confirmed work under his own name in 1977, early in his career, which is a fusion/arrangement of traditional Filipino folk songs with strings and horns to create a jazz funk sound. A variety of sophisticated sounds performed by orchestration with the participation of lot of local musicians, including the repeating thrilling riff of "Pandangguhan," the melancholy smooth jazz of "Doon Po Sa Amin," and the technical mellow funk of "Atin Cu Pung Singsing". Just wonderful throughout. The Philippines has a long history of jazz, but the perfection of this work is astonishing. Original with insert. There is scratche on the A3 and it makes noise a several times, otherwise plays great.
