The second chapter of modern classical/new age work inspired by the various regions of China left by Taiwanese composer Chen Chien-Min. Impressive group of tracks that combine jazz with a wider musical climate while using a number of traditional instruments. The exotic feel of "小倆口抬水", which combines synths, woodwinds, congas, more, expressing the scenery of Hebei Province, his original tune ”情緣” with ethnic sound that incorporates the gamelan, tabla, and flute drawn in the trilogy, new age tune ”知心話兒要拉遍” with huqin and cello as the main, and the modern classical tune ”如今唱歌用籮裝” that expresses continental elegance with the flute are particularly excellent. It can also be listened to as an Asian ethnic work.
台湾人作曲家 城振銘が残した中国各地をイメージして制作されたモダンクラシカル/ニューエイジ作品第二章。数々の伝統楽器を用いながらより幅を広げた音楽風土とジャズを結びつけた楽曲群が印象的。シンセ、木管楽器、コンガ等を組み合わせた河北省の情景を表したエキゾ感覚”小倆口抬水”、三部作で描かれたガムラン、タブラ、フルートを取り入れたエスニックな響きのオリジナル曲”情緣”、胡琴とチェロをメインに添えたニューエイジ的”知心話兒要拉遍”、大陸的な優雅さをフルートで表したモダンクラシカル曲”如今唱歌用籮裝”あたりは特に秀逸。アジアン・エスニック作品としても聴いて頂けると思います。
