Khánh Ly, a singer from Yue, the ancient capital of Vietnam, When she was 16 years old during the Vietnam War, she met SSW Trịnh Công Sơn, one of the leading composer in Vietnam, who opened a path for her to become a famous singer, however, as the war got worse, she escaped to the south, lost her husband, and went from one country to another, arriving in San Diego, USA, with her children. This album contains 8 songs recorded in San Diego, U.S.A. (circa 1980) and 2 songs recorded in Japan in 1970 at Osaka Expo '70. Musically, there are mournful ballad/folk songs with beautiful&sprawling vocal, traditional instruments, and with a variety of emotions.

ベトナムの古都ユエ出身の歌手カーン（カイン）・リー、ベトナム戦争中の16歳の頃にベトナムを代表する作曲家/SSWチン・コン・ソンとの出会いから歌手への道を切り開き有名歌手へと成長しますが、戦火が酷くなるにつれて南へ逃れ夫を亡くし各国を転々としながら子供達と辿り着いたアメリカ・サンディエゴの地で録音された8曲(80年頃)、70年の大阪万博で来日した際の録音2曲が収録されています。音楽的な側面では美しい伸びのあるヴォーカル,伝統楽器,様々な感情が織り成す哀愁漂うバラード/フォーク路線。
