Luis Alberto Spinetta, the one and only musician and national hero of Argentina, whose birthday, January 23, is celebrated as National Musicians' Day. Starting with Almendra, through Pescado Rabioso, Invisible, Spinetta Jade, solo work, and even into the 2000s period often considered his golden age, his influence remains profound to this day. This album is Spinetta's first live recording under his own name, released in 1990. The band members were Javier Malosetti, Marcelo Novati, Guillermo Arrom, Claudio Cardone, and Mono Fontana. The live took place at a facility within the University of Buenos Aires, and featured songs sung carefully in an intimate atmosphere. Highlights include “Amor De Primavera” a modern arrangement of an early classic by Tanguito, known for Tango, as the sole cover song, “Parvas” blending Reggae and Choro rhythms from the Almendra era with Mono Fontana's soft synths, grand and beautiful “Pequeño Ángel” an excerpt from a collaboration with Fito Paes, the classic “La Herida De París” from Spinetta Jade's second album, new arrangement of Spinetta's first recorded song “Plegaria Para Un Niño Dormido” and the lengthy previously unreleased tracks exclusive to this album “Frazada de cactus” and “Sicocisne”. Just wonderful piece. Beautiful Argentine original.
生誕日である1月23日はナショナル・ミュージシャン・デイとして祝されるというアルゼンチンの国民的英雄にして唯一無二の音楽家Luis Alberto Spinetta。Almendraから始まり、Pescado Rabioso、Invisible、Spinetta Jade、ソロ名義、そして黄金期とさえ言える2000年代の作品まで現在においても多大な影響を与えているのはご存知と思います。本作はスピネッタ名義では初となる90年のライブアルバム。メンバーはJavier Malosetti, Marcelo Novati, Guillermo Arrom, Claudio Cardone, Mono Fontana。場所はブエノスアイレス大学内の施設で行われたもので親密な空気感の中じっくりと歌われる楽曲の構成が中心となっています。まず唯一のカバー曲であるTangoで知られるTanguitoの初期名曲をモダンにアレンジした“Amor De Primavera”がハイライトのひとつ、Almendra時代のレゲエとショーロのリズムを融合させMono Fontanaの柔らかなシンセも加わる”Parvas”、Fito Paesとの共作からの抜粋の壮大で美しい”Pequeño Ángel”、Spinetta Jadeセカンドに収録の名曲”La Herida De París”、スピネッタ初レコーディング曲”Plegaria Para Un Niño Dormido”のニューアレンジそして長尺の未発表曲でこの作品のみに収録の”Frazada de cactus”と”Sicocisne”も問答無用に素晴らしい。もう最高。アルゼンチンオリジナル美盤。
