La Máquina De Hacer Pájaros, the band formed by Argentina's another big figure Charly García, after the breakup of Sui Generis. Charly, who said he was tired of being the leader at this time, joined the band alongside Oscar Moro and Jose Luis Fernandez with the intention of helping out, which ultimately resulted in two albums. This final album, as seen in its title “Film” features conceptualism as a major theme (also metaphorically expressing the terror experienced under the military dictatorship), unfolding a more diverse and intricate sound. It contains 8 tracks including the groovy flowing cosmic instrumental "Obertura 777", Carlos Cutaia compose “Qué Se Puede Hacer Salvo Ver Películas” features abundant congas for an exotic, story-driven feel, Charly Garcia-esque drums and swirling electronic sound “Ruta Perdedora” building addictive tension, melancholic yet spacey "El Vendedor De Las Muñecas De Plástico" and dynamic electric featuring candombe "Hipercandombe". We consider this the band's best work. This is the 1987 reissue version, which is also quite rare.
アルゼンチンもう一人の巨星Charly GarciaがSui Generis解散後に結成したバンドLa Máquina De Hacer Pájaros。この時期リーダーでいる事に疲れていたというチャーリーはOscar MoroとJose Luis Fernandezと共にバンドを手伝うつもりで参加し結果二枚のアルバムを残すに至りました。この最終アルバムでは「映画」というタイトルに見るようにコンセプチュアリズムが大きなテーマになっていて(軍事独裁政権下で起こった恐怖を比喩的に表現しているとも)より多様かつ精巧なサウンドを展開。グルーヴィーで流れるようなコズミックなインスト曲”Obertura 777”、Carlos Cutaiaが手掛けコンガをふんだんに使ったエキゾチックかつストーリー性ある”Qué Se Puede Hacer Salvo Ver Películas”、Charly Garciaらしいドラムと電子音が旋回するように中毒性を帯びていく”Ruta Perdedora”、哀愁とスペーシーが融合したような”El Vendedor De Las Muñecas De Plástico”、カンドンベを用いたダイナミズムでエレクトリックな楽曲”Hipercandombe”はじめ全8曲を収録。これがバンドの最高傑作と思います。87年のリイシュー版ですがこちらも稀少となっています。
