After playing in a rock band in the 1970s, keyboardist Mike Christopher has experience working for a company that manufactures synthesizers, sequencers, and drum machines while participating in several soundtracks and Steve Roach's works. He is currently active as a laser light performer, studio musician, and freelance multi-artist, and also appears in movies. This is a self-produced cassette of his solo activities in 1983. Contains four full-length electronic tracks that develop like a labyrinth from repetitive parts that gradually become colored. You can feel his rich sensibility that is difficult to compare. This cassette seems to be the only one confirmed under a solo name, and it makes want to listen to the others.
70年代のロックバンドでの活動を経て、いくつかのサントラ作品やSteve Roach作品に参加しながらシンセサイザー、シーケンサー、ドラムマシンを製造する会社に勤めた経験を持つ鍵盤奏者Mike Christopher。現在ではレーザー・ライトのパフォーマンス、スタジオミュージシャン、フリーランスのマルチ・アーティストとして一線で活動する傍ら映画などにも出演しているようです。本作は83年のソロでの活動を記録した自主カセット作品。じわじわと色付いていく反復パートから迷宮的に展開して長編エレクトロニクス4曲を収録。どれも甲乙つけがたい完成度、豊かな感性を持っているのを感じて頂けると思います。ソロ名義で確認されているのはこのカセットだけのようで他の曲も聞いてみたいですね。
