Australian ambient musician John Elder. Probably he was on the Southern Quest, which sank into the Antarctic sea in 1986, the year before the release of this work (the photo in the article is his credit). Not sure if it was composed based on, but the work named "Antarctica". It is an ambient piece that brings calm and imaginary sharpened sence, sound image as if various emotions are mixed, and an organic feeling that seems to depict a grand nature. It penetrates deeply and profoundly.
オーストラリアのアンビエント作家John Elder。本作のリリースの前年となる86年に南極の海へ沈んだサザン・クエスト号におそらく乗車していたとみられ（記事の写真が彼のクレジットになっています。定かではありません。）その時の体験を元に作曲されたのかは定かではありませんが”Antarctica”と名付けられた作品で、静観でイマージナリーな研ぎ澄まされた音響感覚、様々な感情が入り混じるかのような音像、壮大な大自然を描いたような有機感覚がもたらすアンビエント大作。深く深く浸透していきます。
