David Oliver, an American multi-instrumentalist who plays jazz piano and mallet percussion. He studied world music and participated in a variety of works across genres, including reggae and hardcore, and released this 1982 first album on his own label. The outstanding piano technique, which straddles the line between spiritual orientation and minimalism, blends complex rhythms and creates a mood. The music incorporating marimba and bells is also very moving. This is a direct link to the next album “Hope For La Roo”. Brilliant!
