A prestigious Minas Gerais label Bemol known for many master works by artists such as Fernando Oly, Edição Brasileira, Renato Mota, Flávio Fonseca. This label work is 7"ep by an instrumental group named Suite Brasilia. Members include the group's central figure, pianist Renato Vasconcellos from Brasilia, flutist Andréa Ernest Dias, active in the free jazz scene and featured on works by Caetano Veloso and Gal Costa, alongside her sister flutist Beth Ernest Dias and brother guitarist Jaime Ernest Dias, saxophonist Evaldo Robson, who also played on Tim Maia's backing member, and bassist Ricardo Vasconcellos, totaling 7 members. It features 4 amazing tracks: the elegant, romantic Theme 1, followed by “Paula”, blending Brazilian musical traditions with jazz as it builds from a soft, flute-led introduction to a faster tempo, the mesmerizingly fluid “Sonho”, and the closing, groovy ensemble Theme 2. This work can be considered the prototype for the 1998 instrumental anthem of Brasília by Renato Vasconcellos. Great piece in nice condition.
