Jazz pianist Himiko Kikuchi, who has consistently released great releases in the 1980s after working as a backing musician for Takuro Yoshida, Junko Ohashi, Mayumi Itsuwa, etc. This is the last release on vinyl in 1987. Produced by Keiichi Nakamura, who has oversawed the Japanese recordings by Miles Davis,Herbie Hancock and backed by members such as Yuichi Togashiki, Akira Okazawa, Yoshinori Nomi. Among them, recommend the smooth jazz number B3 "The Second Summer", A2 "A Seagull & Clouds" and jazz-funk number B2 "Baby Talk",A1 "Look Your Back! Back!". The technical and depth of the sound is wonderful. Record release is becoming rare due to the transition to CD era.
吉田拓郎、大橋純子、五輪真弓などのバッキングミュージシャンを経て80年代にも良作をコンスタントに残しているジャズピアニスト 菊池ひみこのレコードのリリースとしては最後となる87年作。プロデュースにはMiles Davis,Herbie Hancockの日本規格盤などを担当してきた中村慶一に加えバックには渡嘉敷祐一、岡沢 章、納見義徳などのメンバーが参加しながらクオリティに溢れたジャズ・ナンバーを多数収録。中でもスムース・ジャズB3"The Second Summer"、A2”A Seagull & Clouds”の両曲やジャズ・ファンク・ナンバーB2"Baby Talk"やA1”Look Your Back!”などオススメ。テクニカルで奥行きのあるサウンドが素晴らしいです。CD移行期につきレコードは稀少となっています。
